Job Description

Position Summary
The Workers' Compensation Specialist manages and administers all workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely review, evaluation, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role oversees incident reporting, analyzes claims data, and supports safety initiatives, including return-to-work programs, safety committees, and safety awareness campaigns.

Essential Responsibilities

Develop and implement workplace health and safety programs, policies, and procedures
Evaluate safety practices to identify risks and recommend improvements
Deliver accident prevention and safety training to employees and management
Review incident and accident reports to identify injury trends, root causes, and opportunities for prevention
Advise departments on safety improvements and strategies to reduce workplace injuries
Facilitate return-to-work programs, including accommodation planning and medical case management
Ensure compliance with work restrictions and communicate requirements clearly to managers and employees
Collaborate with regional teams to analyze trends and develop proactive safety strategies
Maintain communication with occupational health clinics to support effective case management
Track employee recovery progress and communicate updates to leadership
Prepare and analyze risk management and claims reports
Support OSHA compliance, audits, and safety training initiatives
Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all claims and cases
Serve as a liaison between employees, management, insurance carriers, attorneys, and external partners
Assess claims and incidents to identify resolution opportunities and minimize risk exposure
Lead workers' compensation audits and support renewal processes
Contribute to broader HR initiatives and organizational goals as needed

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of workers' compensation or related experience
